Represented Steele Land and Inspection in coordination with Golder and Associates for the Clients Genesis Energy and the Keys Energy Center. Secured Right-of-Entry (ROE) agreements regarding optical and soil-sample survey efforts. ROE's were acquired in preparation for proposed water and gas line Right-of-Way's (ROW) regarding the Keys Energy Center 735-MW, natural gas-fired, electric generating plant to be built in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Prepared/modified contracts and agreements and negotiated for landowner signatures. Scanned/archived/emailed all created/signed documents to Steele and Golder. Digitally acquired and interpreted property plats, construction drawings, legal documents and/or governmental land records regarding ROE routing. Imported Shape Files and KMZ files into various GPS integrated GIS programs for use in the field. Searched land records at PGAtlas, MDLandRec.net, SHA index maps, MDAT and at the County Courthouses to identify/confirm titleholders and resolve probate questions. Verified acreage maps and resolved discrepancies. Identified and corrected ownership changes which had occurred since the Title research date-down. Met with the Client to discuss ROE effort/budgeting and proceeding into the ROW acquisition effort. Made specific recommendations for effective production. Provided Notary solutions and made recommendations regarding ROW options agreements. Discussed per acre offer parameters. Consulted with Steele VP Jay Shepard and provided per head ROW acquisition cost estimate. Recommended pursuit of receivership and quiet title actions for a particular parcel showing clouded ownership of record. Provided a modified Indemnification Clause and received Client approval for usage in the field. Verified landowner-requested modifications of our proposed ROW encroachment. Created Measure Map Pro GPS-centered GIS/KML/GPX map of tract entry restrictions and advised company.

Researched general and specific legal descriptions in preparation for surface and subsurface petroleum leases and Right of Way efforts. Examined title and relevant probate from Patent forward to present day to determine if there exist restrictions limiting use of property regarding oil and gas exploitation; determined curative action needed to resolve said restrictions. Negotiated provisions with landowners and attorneys. Used various software packages controlling documents and probate throughout California, including TitlePoint and Titleworks. Organized Current Contents on Disk database and sorted/emailed results to faculty/staff based on keyword searches. Processed Inter-library loan requests from Veterinary Medicine Library. Supervised the science reference shrinking project. The science reference library needed materials sent to the general stacks and Lawrence storage facility. Other materials needed to be properly removed from circulation. Core materials were retained in the designated science library area. The IEEE manuscripts required searching at IEEE online for their electronic equivalents, which were then used as the primary source material. I oversaw, sorted, and moved the materials. Worked the desk reference area, assisting patrons in finding materials in Hale subscribed databases, and in the collection. Sorted and returned journals and logged usage statistics. Sorted and placed new arriving journals. Assisted patrons in learning our new technology scanners. Scanners which could output to either a flash drive, or email have replaced copy machines in Hale Library. These scanners were early generation technology and had faults. I discovered and demonstrated work-arounds to patrons, faculty and staff, and kept faculty/staff apprised of developments and scanner status. Assisted in grant research within the Intra Library loan Development Program through use of the Kansas Library Catalog and prospective vendors. The grant was to provide prairie grass specific materials to libraries throughout Kansas. Had to determine which libraries possessed which materials in order to gauge need, then priced available volumes.

Nine years' experience in the successful day-to-day operation of a family recreation center that generated $500,000 in revenues last year. The Wildcat Creek Sports Center encompasses a lighted driving range, sand volleyball courts, batting cages, miniature golf course, clubhouse, and a nine-hole executive golf course. As General Manager, I was responsible for every aspect of the sports center operation. Assisted in building the entire sports complex. Upon completion, I assumed the General Manager position. Grew the sports center from its inception to a $500k annual revenue business with attention to detail and commitment to customer service. Created our employee handbook. As an EPA Region 7 Superfund grant recipient, D.O.M. Associates performed on-site, open-path Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) remote sensing of volatile organic compounds (VOC) at Superfund sites, industrial sites, and former landfill sites. Maintained precise, rigorous documentation of ongoing field experiments, including weather station set up, humidity readings, and wind speed calculations. Wind speed calculation was critical to mapping source and size of the chemical plume. Researched prior art for patent claims: keyword-searched online patent database for similar research from competing labs, government agencies, and universities. This patent research in support of the testing and building of a mobile Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer system contributed to the successful issuance of nine United States patents. Assisted in the collimation and direction of beams, in some cases with the assistance of infrared viewing equipment in a darkroom environment as required for certain investigations. I placed various lenses, splitters and gratings into their proper location on a vibration-free table in support of prototype development. Dismantled equipment, packed and moved to off-site locations and reassembled. Observed proper storage requirements for chemicals. Diagnosed and repaired basic problems with computers running Windows 3.1, Windows 95. I upgraded computers memory and added hard drives, modems, additional monitors and other devices as needed. Practiced eye-safe procedures in a high-energy laser environment, including ND:YAG, Co2, and HeNe lasers. Exercised proper safety procedures when using liquid nitrogen on a regular basis to cool the detector in the Bomem interferometer. I observed clean room and static-free procedures in the laboratory.
